The Cherokee Sheriff's Office Internship Program provides college students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of law enforcement while completing their criminal justice education. This program is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in criminal justice or a criminal justice-related field. Any internship at the Cherokee Sheriff's Office is unpaid.
The internship program offers students real-world exposure to all areas of operations within a full-service sheriff's office. Interns will observe various functions within the agency, gaining insight into the responsibilities, challenges, and professionalism required in modern law enforcement. Note, interns will be exposed to all areas of operations and not just a specific area. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about and be assigned to the following:

Interns are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, integrity, and respect at all times. Failure to comply with these standards may result in removal from the internship program.
